Day 1: Arrive Danang, Hoi An(D)
Upon arrival at Danang you will be greeted by our guide who will begin by escorting you on a tour of Danang City, including the Cham Museum where you can find out more about this ancient but advanced civilization. After leaving Danang we will make our way a short distance to the Marble Mountains, where you will have an opportunity to climb to the top and admire the temples that have a commanding view of the surrounding district. We will continue to the delightful town of Hoi An, approximately 30km away. Once in Hoi An we will check into our hotel and have some free time to explore the rivertown.
Day 2: Hoi An (B&L)
We enjoy a half day walking orientation tour of Hoi An including the Chinese Assembly Halls, the Japanese Bridge, Tan Ky House, Handicraft House. Following the tour there will be free time to discover what else Hoi An has to offer. You can visit a silk shop to have a new wardrobe tailored, cycle to lush villages or go to the beach about 6 kilometres away, or enjoy a cooking class in one of many restaurants, or simply relax on the beach.
Beach, sun, delicious food, fun bars... you won't get bored in this town.
Day 3: Hoi An free day (B&L)
Our clients enjoy a full day of leisure in this enchanting town.
You may want to take a cruise along the waterways to look at a ceramic craft village and the boat building yards, or arrange a trip to the My Son Cham Ttowers, about an hour and a half drive from Hoi An. Or maybe you would prefer to relax beside the pool at the hotel or head to the beach for a swim. One thing for sure, you'll need the time for those final fittings at the tailor shops. You won't be able to resist have something made to order, even a pair of shoes.
Day 4: Hoi An-Hue (B&L)
We bid Hoi An farewell this morning and continue our north-bound journey. The destination for today is the old imperial city of Hue about four hours away. Along the way we will travel over the Hai Van Pass, stopping at the top to take in the stunning views north over Lang Co beach before arriving in Hue.
This afternoon we embark on a tour of the city. A visit to Hue would not be complete without taking in attractions such as the Citadel and the Forbidden Purple City, the Imperial Museum and the Dong Ba market.
You can taste the finest cuisine of Hue at the Tropical Restaurant.
Day 5: Hue (B&L)
After breakfast in your hotel, we will board a private boat and cruise the romantic Perfume River. This time we head out for the countryside. Being the ancient capital, Hue is surrounded with ancient tombs of emperors past, and a visit to some of these tombs will be the focus of today's itinerary.
The charming Lady Pagoda (Thien Mu Pagoda) will be the first stop of the day. You will have a great view of the Perfume River and the surrounding area. Thien Mu Pagoda is considered the unofficial symbol of Hue, and center of Buddhism in central Vietnam.
We process to the unusual Tu Duc's tomb. From here we will cruise further to the ornate Minh Mang's tomb. We will enjoy lunch before disembarking the Dragon boat. We then drive to Khai Dinh Tomb, which reflects the varied cultural influences in Vietnam.
Day 6: Depart Hue (B&L)
Today is departure day and time to bid farewell to your guide. You will be e transferred to Phu Bai Airport Hue.
